What is Headless eCommerce? (vs Traditional Monolith)
What is headless commerce? You’re probably on a platform that’s been around for some time, what I would call a traditional, monolithic platform. Despite that, you’re not sure. what the differences are or why you should really care about the differences between traditional #eCommerce and #HeadlessEcommerce architectures. The monolith has been around for a very long time and served us well but in this rapidly changing world, you need a new approach that provides the agility you need as a business but is also capable of dealing with the complexities of delivering omnichannel experiences.
This is a quick summary of the differences between headless ecommerce and the older traditional monolith, highlighting the limitations of the monolith and how headless overcomes them.

What is Headless CMS? | Headless CMS vs Traditional CMS | Headless CMS Comparison | CMS Architecture
A headless CMS (Content Management System) is a content management system that focuses solely on the back-end content management and delivery process, without providing any pre-built front-end presentation layer.
In a traditional CMS, the content is created and stored in a single application, which includes both the back-end content management system and the front-end presentation layer. This approach can be limiting for developers who want to use a CMS to manage content for websites, mobile apps, or other digital channels with unique presentation requirements.

A headless CMS, on the other hand, provides an API (Application Programming Interface) that can be used to access and deliver content, making it easier to integrate content into a variety of front-end platforms, including websites, mobile apps, IoT devices, and more.
With a headless CMS, developers can create custom front-end experiences and deliver content across multiple channels, without being constrained by the limitations of pre-built templates or presentation layers. This approach provides greater flexibility and scalability, making it easier to manage content across multiple platforms and devices.
Overall, a headless CMS is an attractive option for organizations that need to deliver content across a variety of channels and platforms, and want greater flexibility and control over the front-end presentation layer.
