MuShu - Clear case firewall
Probably the most interesting thing about this case will be what its used
for. I'm setting up a hard drive-less system. This will have a CD-ROM and
a floppy. The floppy will only hold config for the firewall software on
CD-ROM, and be set to read-only mode my flipping the button on it. This
also will have the unique feature that only when the softwre needs it will
the drives be savgin power and generating less heat.
System specs - pretty basic:
- PII 233 CPU
- 256 Mg ram
- Realtek NIC - to Cisco
- Realtek NIC - to internal net
- Video Card -
- AT ps
I figured I can put my old CPU back to work as a firewall.
I named it MuShu because it will protect the family honor, and be sort of
a spirit as well.
This is my case before I took off the all the protective plastic wrap. I'm
still in the process of doing the decal work.
